Family Numeracy

Fam­ily Numer­acy classes offer oppor­tu­ni­ties for parents/​carers and young chil­dren to improve their numer­acy. It can open a door for parents/​carers to gain qualifications.

It also helps par­ents to under­stand how young chil­dren develop their math­e­mat­i­cal con­cepts through play and how they can sup­port this at home.

Fam­ily Numer­acy offers par­ent oppor­tu­ni­ties to gain fur­ther qual­i­fi­ca­tion. It cre­ates a pos­i­tive part­ner­ship between the school and the home and helps to raise achieve­ment for chil­dren in mathematics.
