Nursery Bears

The Nursery Bears

Our bears are a part of the family at Greenfields and play a very important role in the children’s learning experiences.

The bears support the children in developing their social and emotional skills. As they learn to love, care and look after the bears they can reflect on their own experiences and begin to understand their own feelings and emotions.

The bears help to create a valuable link between home and nursery which can help your child to settle and feel secure within the nursery environment.

Parents are asked to support their child with their play and learning by taking part in their imaginary world and talking to them about their bears activities and feelings. Parents are also asked to write a message in any language in the teddy bears book to share with the other children. This gives the children an opportunity to develop their communication skills by sharing their stories with their friends.
